Customer Question

I have a single small lump under my armpit it hurts a bit to touch but isn't overly red. A few years ago i had a similiar thing and it turned out to be a trapped sweat gland that went away naturally I was just wondering if it would be the same thing or something else

Dr. David :

This is Dr. David

Dr. David :

it sounds most likely like a trapped sweat gland or a clogged sweat gland.

Customer:

what would be the best way to get rid of it?

Dr. David :

was the prior trapped sweat gland in the same arm pit before?

Dr. David :

using a loofah scrub sponge and antibacterial soap under your arm pits when you wash daily can help

Customer:

Yes as far as i remember although it was about 3 or 4 years ago

Dr. David :

I see.

Dr. David :

it could be an early infected hair follicle possibly

Dr. David :

but I would try scrubbing more and using antibacterial soap and seeing if this helps.

Dr. David :

does this help?

Dr. David :

do you have other questions?

Customer:

ok i will try that i think i went to the doctors before and it ended up being because i didnt dry it properly after a shower

Customer:

thanks for the help i will try to use antibacterial soap and see if it helps
