This is Dr. David
there is no way to diagnose your condition without more testing.
yes, I think you should see a gyn doctor in thailand.
you need a gyn examination and a uterine ultrasound
and blood testing.
the most worrisome issue in postmenopausal women with new vaginal bleeding is a uterine cancer
so this needs to be checked for.
a uterine ultrasound can check for this and a gyn examination can check for any potential sources of vaginal bleeding.
sometimes uterine fibroids can bleed as well.
so you will eventually need a urine biopsy when you get back to the UK.
do you have a gyn doctor back in the UK?
when was your last gyn examination?
Yes, I do have a gyn doctor in the UK. I last saw roughly about 3 years ago
so you can either see a gyn doctor in Thailand or go back to see a gyn doctor in the UK
did you see my reply above?
do you have any questions?
Yes I did see your reply, thank you and understand it. As today is the first and only time this has happened I would like to wait until I get back to the Uk unless the condition re occurs in which case would you advise my seeing a doctor here or would it be OK to wait until I get back home on the 14th February.
2 weeks isn't a super long time.
you might need to wear a pad if you continue to bleed or have unpredictable bleeding.
but most likely you can wait 2 weeks to go back to the UK and see a gyn doctor there
and get a gyn examination and ultrasound
you can even try to call for an appointment now while you are in thailand so you don't have to wait so long when you get back.
that would be the smart thing to do.
best of luck to you
