Hello. I'm Dr. Phil, licensed and practicing internist. Excellent service is my goal.

Thanks for this question

Was your TSH, T3 and T4 checked?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

yes last blood test less than 6 months ago have been for scans to rule out rhumatiod arthritis due to joint pains also no menstral cycle has occurred for over 1 year so put a lot of symptoms down to menopause

Expert:  Dr. Phil, MD replied 3 years ago.
And what was your TSH?

Do you have rheumatoid?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

don't recall figures but doctor said they were happy with them, no tests showed all clear for rheumatoid, just want to know if this medication for thyroid can be causing these symptoms as have had no satisfaction from my gp

Expert:  Dr. Phil, MD replied 3 years ago.
No, the medicine would not cause this.

However, I question whether your thyroid is really controlled

Many doctors say "controlled" and don't really know the ranges

you should make sure that T3 and T4 were checked

Also that TSH is between 0.3-3.0

If it's not, then it is not normal

But this medicine doesn't cause these side effects

I hope this helps. If you have more questions, just reply. :)
