Hi Marie. Is he getting up and walking at all?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

Hi Yes he is , he is wearing his brace when getting up for example to go to the loo

OK--so long as he's getting up some and so long as he moves his legs from time to time while at rest, no need for anticoagulants. He should most often lie relatively flat--not completely flat on his back, but a pillow is fine. That will take most of the pressure off his back and his fractures for now. After the rest period for perhaps another week he needs to be into physical therapy to strengthen both his back and his abdominal muscles
