The risk is abou the same as you getting your first concussion. Sparring with headgear should be quite a bit safer than without. THIS MAY BE HELPFUL FOR YOU REGARDING CONCUSSIONS AND RETURN TO PLAY/BOXING.
The fact is that it is very hard to answer your question about the chances of this happening again... As most athletes who compete in contact sports will tell you at their career end, they all had multiple concussions (I'm talking about those who play into their twenties and thirties)
a big issue re our American football right now
and the science is not clear at all
because it's so hard to study
But boxing, even with headgear will carrry some small risk of reinjury
the nice thing
is that you were not knocked unconscious in your first concussion
so this makes the concussion lower on the scale of severity
Thats the thing i wanted to get a second doctors opinion, as this is the first head injury that i have had.
That answers my question thank you for your time.
no problem at all.... just out of curiosity are you going to box again?
I will need to have a long think about it to be honest.
good luck to you whatever you decide
positive feedback appreciated
have a great evening.
Thanks again bye
