I have type 2 diabetes -well controlled and sice diagnosis 6 months ago, have lost 4 stone. I cannot understand why my usually ok blood pressure has now gone up My GP cannot understand it either

Okay, one likely reason for this high blood pressure is sleep apnea.

your weight puts you at risk for this.

Why it started when you lost weight, I'm not sure.

However, I would recommend continued weight loss and a sleep study
