Customer Question

I sliced the pad of my middle finger off on 1st February. I've been trying to use moist healing but I don't think it is working. I didn't get stitches, there was nothing to stitch. I'm just wondering if you could give me some tips for correct moist healing dressings/techniques?

Dr. David :

This is Dr. David

Dr. David :

it has been a month already.

Dr. David :

it should have healed up by now.

Dr. David :

you really should just be using an antibiotic cream like a neosporin cream on the wound

Dr. David :

and then putting on a tight bandaid on the finger.

Dr. David :

and eating extra protein and vitamin C to help with wound healing.

Dr. David :

but you really should see a doctor if your finger hasn't healed in a month.

Dr. David :

the area could be infected and you might need a course of antibiotics to help the area heal.

Dr. David :

hello?
