My husband has a temperature of 39.2 degrees and is shivering.

Resolved Question:

My husband has a temperature of 39.2 degrees and is shivering. What is the best thing to do. He has taken paracetomol but is still shivering.

Is just putting him to bed the right thing to do?

Kind regards

Hello
It really depends on the situation.

Do you know why he has a fever?
And how long has he had it?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

For right now paracetamol every 6 hours.
If this is not under control by tomorrow, then he needs to see his GP, or if other symptoms develop that are concerning.

A warm bath with a subsequent cold towel rub down then right into bed can help with fever.

Homeopathic Aconite, 30X or 30C, one or two doses, can often break a fever within the first 24 hours. If he is apprehensive about all this, it will probably abort the illness, if he has that emotional symptom.

Do not hesitate to call his doctor about concerns.
