Ive been bleeding from my Virginia for about a month now,

Resolved Question:

I've been bleeding from my Virginia for about a month now, im not pregnant because I haven't had unprotected sex and I did a test anyway. I have no pains but the left side of my lower abdomen feels like there is something there and it affects my leg. I don't know what to do, im very new in the Uk, a student and I can't really afford to see a gynaecologist for £250 per 30 mins....HELP PLEASE

Yes what could this be please

Expert:  DrRussMD replied 3 years ago.
Metorraghia is the name of this and causes are:

Hormonal effects [most common]
Fibroids of the uterus, which are benign tumors that bleed
ovary dysfunction
Polyps of the uterus
A condition called adenomyosis which is from the glands of the uterus
Having an IUD
Sometimes thyroid problems, liver or kidney disease
A condition called endometriosis
Inherited bleeding disorders
Some medications

You will have to see a doctor, you want to rule out serious things.
