Hello there. My name is Brian, I am a male, 30 years old

Customer Question

Hello there.
My name is Brian,
I am a male, 30 years old and since December last year I first started with a pain in my testicle and left side that felt like a stitch, i had them looked at but nothing was wrong.

Since then I have developed lower backache, random flank ache, upper backache, my left leg below the knee feels kinda numb when i walk sometimes and when i walk down the stairs my legs feel wobbly, tender ribs, sometimes a tender left armpit, random stomach pains at the lower part, a sunburn sensation in my upper back that makes me sensitive to my clothes and finally tender areas on back and elbow, but testicle pain has gone.

I have had numerous blood tests, two ultrasounds, lower back x-ray and chest x-ray along with a upper GI which found Gastritis and a D ulcer but all other test have found nothing and i am waiting for a MRI of my back.

During the course of all of this I have developed Health Anxiety because I am constantly feeling stuff that either hurts or has a dull annoyance but no answers from no one, i was wondering if anybody could shed some light on things for me and give me some possible theory's

Thank you

Dr. David :

This is Dr. David

Dr. David :

I am sorry you have been having these symptoms.

Dr. David :

I am glad the testicular pain is better.

Dr. David :

you most likely had a temporary course of inflammation of the epididymis.

Dr. David :

you could be having dry skin of your back.

Dr. David :

you might need to use a moisturizer on your back after you shower to decrease dry skin.

Dr. David :

stomach ulcer is often caused by your diet and what you eat and drink which can worsen excessive stomach acid production.

Dr. David :

you need to change your diet and avoid sodas, alcohol, spicy foods, fried foods, tomato sauces

Dr. David :

all of these can cause worse stomach acid production.

Customer:

no dry skin, everything seems normal, just aches and pains that move around for over 3 months, and leg shakes, my diet has drastically change to more of a healthy diet

Customer:

all my tests come back fine but i feel terrible all the time not in health just pain

Dr. David :

I see.

Dr. David :

it can take some time for your health and pains to improve if you had a bad diet before.

Dr. David :

you can't change your health over night just by changing your diet.

Dr. David :

you have to eat health and also exercise.

Dr. David :

do you smoke?

Dr. David :

you have to stop smoking if you smoke.

Dr. David :

do you drink alcohol, that can cause aches and pains in your body as well and can cause your stomach ulcer.

Dr. David :

and if your anxiety is bad, you might need treatment for excessive anxiety.

Dr. David :

there are medication treatments to help decrease anxiety

Customer:

I have stopped smoking two months ago and only drink about 3 to 4 times a year, for my anxiety i am waiting for a appointment to see a councilor and have been taking Diazepam

Dr. David :

that is good.

Dr. David :

diazepam is a long acting benzo which can help decrease anxiety

Dr. David :

exercise therapy can also help decrease anxiety as well.

Customer:

I have read about something called fibromagia (spelling) is this possible?

Dr. David :

reading more on the web will only worsen your health anxiety

Dr. David :

and make you more worried.

Dr. David :

fibromyalgia is a muscle and joint pain disorder which has specific trigger points which worsen pain.

Dr. David :

it is not a common diagnosis and the diagnosis needs to be made by a neurologist or a rheumatologist.

Dr. David :

your random pains could get better just like your scrotal pain got better.

Dr. David :

you have only recently stopped smoking.

Dr. David :

are you overweight?

Dr. David :

being overweight can put more pressure on your back and cause pain of your back.

Dr. David :

loosing weight and exercising can help your pain and if it does help, then it is not fibromyalgia.

Customer:

yeah I understand that and I know I shouldn't look online, slightly but been loosing weight which i think is down to stress

Dr. David :

well, I hope you continue to loose weight and start to exercise.

Dr. David :

I'm glad you quit smoking.

Customer:

it's been hard but my health is more important

Dr. David :

I understand

Dr. David :

nothing in life is easy.

Dr. David :

and good health is not easy.

Dr. David :

keep up the good work

Dr. David :

and eating healthy.

Dr. David :

good luck to you with the counseling.

Dr. David :

I hope that helps

Dr. David :

let me know if you have other questions.

Customer:
