Hello dr k
It could be from friction if you actually have a known source of the friction. If this is the case, you can treat with A and D ointment or Neosporin ointment. I would be concerned that it may be a herpes lesion so you should go to a clinic to be tested. Syphilis is also a possibility
You will want to be tested for both
okay i am in the UK i dont think they sell neosporin here and i have never heard of it? would you know of something else that is used i nthe UK that is similar?
Neosporin is a triple antibiotic ointment, they have that.
Also have vitamin a and vitamin d ointment
okay thanks i will give that a go
Good luck. Come back any time you need more help

Hi Dr, i have one more question if that is okay. Should i wait and get tested for an STD before applying the ointments/creams you suggested, or would it be safe to apply them anyway?
Okay so should i get tested first or just use the cream while I am waiting to get tested?
