Ask a Doctor and Get an Answer to Your Medical Question ASAP
Hello, this is Dr K.. Answers are not medical advice and do not constitute a doctor/patient relationship. I look forward to helping you today.
It sounds like you have a fever and a high white blood cell count. Since I do not know the actual number, its hard to know how significant that is. You most likely have a virus.
Endocarditis is rare, so not likely
While these may be some of the symptoms, endocarditis rarely develops in a healthy heart
Risk factors are damaged heart valves, aritificial heart valves and IV drug use.
Hope this helps.
Theres always a way to see a Dr. Go to an urgent care or emergency clinic
No That cant be done under a microscope What you are talking about is a blood culture. Your blood is drawn and incubated in a petri dish to grow out bacteria
You need to seek medical care as opposed to waiting until monday
