Dr. David :

This is Dr. Davie

Dr. David :

what do you mean your ears are no good?

Dr. David :

do you have ear infections?

Dr. David :

do you have fluid behind your ear drums.

Dr. David :

ear plugs really don't help except to keep noise out.

Dr. David :

what is best is to bring medications along like nasal decongestant sprays like afrin to help clear your sinuses so your ears can better drain down into your throat

Dr. David :

and benadryl to decrease histamine allergy inflammation and can help you sleep during a flight as well.

Dr. David :

hello?

Customer:

do have a constant running nose. doi therfore need the medication you suggest

Hello

You need an exam before you fly.

Some medicines that one would normally use can dry up the eustachean tubes, prevent drainage, and cause more problems, particularly in the case of infection.

You should not fly if your ears are not good, until you are cleared by your doctor.

If you need antibiotics that should be done.

Afrin and such only if your ears are draining properly.

And never use ear plugs on a plane; this can actually cause damage.
