A blood glucose level of between 5.6 to 7 is termed as prediabetes or you will be at increased risk of diabetes in future and you need to take care of this with diet and exercise.
If the fasting blood level is more than 7 then you have diabetes.
You should remember that all this applies when you are fasting i.e. you check your blood glucose in the morning before you have taken breakfast.
