I am sorry about your husband's parkinsonism.
most likely he is not about to die.
he could be more fatigued than usual.
he could be having low iron or low hemoglobin levels or low red blood cell levels or low thyroid levels
making him more fatigued.
he should get these levels checked if he hasn't
has he had any recent medication changes?
He saw a neurologist 2 weeks ago and it was decided not to change the medication. Should I make an appointment to see his
doctor and ask about low iron. He takes a thyroid tablet - cannot remember the name.
probably synthroid or levothyroxine.
he should get another TSH level checked if he hasn't had his thyroid levels checked.
Yes, its levothyroxine. Do you know about MSA (atrophy)? The prognosis is poor and I am worried.
multiple system astrophy
Do I get a reply?
his heart rate and bladder function would also most likely start to decline as well.
it doesn't sound like he is having drops of BP
or loss of urine function.
he is just sleeping a lot
could just be from incorrect thyroid hormone level dosing
he might need more iron or more red cells possibly
Thanks. Would it be his heart as well? He had a triple bypass 8 years ago - successful.
could be possibly from his heart slowing down
that would take more heart testing to know for sure.
Thank you for your help. Will take him to the surgery and ask about iron levels, thyroid and heart.
I hope he gets better
