Dr. David :

This is Dr. David

Dr. David :

sorry you have been battling lupus for so long.

Dr. David :

lupus can be a tough disease to battle.

Dr. David :

at age 71, if you are getting out and keeping busy, that is pretty good already.

Dr. David :

lupus can cause balance problems and vertigo.

Dr. David :

what has your most recent TSH levels been? it is good to monitor your TSH levels if you are on levothyroxine.

Dr. David :

you need your iron and magnesium levels checked.

Dr. David :

it could be normal for you to have these symptoms of fatigue and balance problems.

Dr. David :

but you want to check to make sure that something which is correctable is found

Dr. David :

like low magnesium levels

Dr. David :

or wrong thyroid hormone dose

Dr. David :

or low iron levels

Customer: It is a while since I was checked but I believe my thyroid level was within the controlled level. I have been extra busy as I have a son with a mental illness and he has needed a lot of help from me as he has just moved into a unit for mental illness and staff help. I also am involved in support groups for mental illness. I enjoy the input but find I have to rest for more time than usual and have been feeling very under par over the last six months.
Dr. David :

the TSH level should be between 0.3 and 3.0

Dr. David :

I am sorry about your son

Dr. David :

it sounds like you have been running hard over the last 6 months.

Dr. David :

I would see your doctor and get blood testing and evaluation just to be sure.

Dr. David :

you don't want to neglect your own health.

Dr. David :

when you care caring for others.

Dr. David :

does this help?
