Hello,

Welcome and tank you for your question.

A renal blood test is a test which helps to evaluate the function of the kidneys. It is also known as the kidney function test.

The renal test consists of tree tests - the Serum Creatinine test, the Glomerular Filtration Test (GFR) and the Blood Urea Nitrogen Test (BUN).

Creatinine and BUN are products produced by metabolism of the body. The levels rise when the kidney function is poor.

The GFR measures the normal filtration rate of the kidney and a low level indicates poor health of the kidneys.

I hope this helps.
