Ask a Doctor and Get an Answer to Your Medical Question ASAP
Hi there. Thank you for your question. I will be helping you out with your queries
Since how long are you having this lump?
How big is it?
Do you have any other lumps in the other axilla or in your neck or groin?
Please answer the questions that I have posted above.
This is most likely a lymph node.
Lymph nodes commonly enlarge due to infections.
One of the causes to consider is cancer obviously.
Just with one lump that is small in size and not increasing in size and number cancer is UNLIKELY.
Therefore I would not worry too much about cancer however I would still investigate to be dead sure.
But I personally think that you are going to come out clean.
I personally have two lymph nodes in my neck that have been present for years. So you have had a minor infection that you may not have noticed which has caused this node to appear.
So I would not worry too much if I were you.
I agree with that. But I think its nothing serious like cancer.
Something that should go away.
