Hi there,

This is Dr. D.J., experienced Internal Medicine Specialist.

I am here to address your concerns and provide great service.

Dr. D.J. :

Severe burning can be due to the bacterial infection.

Dr. D.J. :

Probably that is why the ring pessary fell off.

Dr. D.J. :

Another possibility is due to the injury to the vaginal lining from the ring pessary.

Dr. D.J. :

This can also cause severe burning.

Dr. D.J. :

You will need to see your doctor for urine analysis and antibiotics after confirmation of infection soon.

Dr. D.J. :

Infection may spread if not addressed early.

Dr. D.J. :

For symptomatic relief you can try Pyridium tablets 100 mg 2-3 tablets daily .

Dr. D.J. :

This will lessen the burning but will not treat the infection.

Dr. D.J. :

Also drink plenty of fluids and cranberry juice which also helps with flushing out the infection.

Dr. D.J. :

You can also take ibuprofen for pain control.

Dr. D.J. :

Best wishes,
