Dr. Shahzad MD :

Do you have fever?

Dr. Shahzad MD :

Have you fainted?

Customer: i haven't seen any one yet
Customer: no other medical problems
Customer: no fever
Customer: I do faint sometimes but not for a long time
Dr. Shahzad MD :

I think that you should be seen for this immediately.

Dr. Shahzad MD :

the reason why I say this is because fainting is a symptom that can have many causes.

Dr. Shahzad MD :

Causes that may be related to the heart, blood pressure, glucose levels etc.

Dr. Shahzad MD :

You certainly do need to be investigated further to find out the cause.

Dr. Shahzad MD :

Usually the most common cause of fainting like this is vasovagal syncope which is not something serious.

Dr. Shahzad MD :

But having said that other causes must be ruled out.

Dr. Shahzad MD :

Are you with me?

Dr. Shahzad MD :

If your symptoms are severe you should go to the emergency.

Customer: Yes what is vasovagal syncope?
Dr. Shahzad MD :

Vasovagal syncope occurs when your body overreacts to certain triggers, such as the sight of blood or extreme emotional distress.

Dr. Shahzad MD :

The vasovagal syncope trigger causes a sudden drop in your heart rate and blood pressure. That leads to reduced blood flow to your brain, which results in a brief loss of consciousness.

Customer: ok thanks very much I will go to the doctor today.
