Dr. David :

This is Dr. David

Dr. David :

this pain could be due to a pinched nerve in your spine

Dr. David :

possibly from arthritis or a temporary herniated disk

Dr. David :

you would benefit from an MRI scan of your thoracic spine.

Customer:

Thanks. Is there any thing short term to relieve the pain? Should I stop back exercises/stretches?

Dr. David :

you can continue to try stretching if it helps.

Dr. David :

avoid carrying heavy bags over your shoulder

Dr. David :

heavy rucsacs can cause more strain on your neck and upper shoulder and spine

Dr. David :

and worsen pinched nerves in your upper back.

Dr. David :

do you have other questions?

Customer:

No thank you. Will do as you say and talk to my GP and suggest MRI scan. Thanks. Mike
