Intestinal inflammation is the likely cause.
Viral infection can cause this commonly.
Another possibility can be mild appendicitis.
Appendix also is located around that region.
Hence, appendicitis can start like this type of pain.
Since the pain did not worsen, does not sound serious yet.
Also if you have constipation problem that can also cause similar symptom.
So, if the symptom worsens, you will need further evaluation with a CT scan of the abdomen.
In most cases, inflammation will resolve within a week or so.
Bland diet is desirable.
Avoid any hot and spicy, fried food, alcohol, and smoking.
