hi do you have any advice
Hi I'm Dr. Phil
Can I ask your first name?
Hi Ron. Nice to meet you
So, who had it first this time?
I am not understanding
she discovered she had it after we had been together the first time 2 years ago but she had just started HRT so we put it down to that - I got the symptoms a few days later - we just had a holiday together - neither of us have had any symptoms for 2 years since last time we had sex - but now we have a - by the way we live 1800km apaert so only meet up every year or so
Okay and your question is could this be due to HRT?
not sure but I had no symptoms and neither did she but since having sex it has come back
Yes, I agree.
The HRT likely triggered it
Then it was transferred to you via sex.
what as well as the sex ???
Nothing, that is it
but why would she have no symptoms while on HRT for the last two years but as soon as we had sex it apears
sex can alter the vaginal bacteria
and pH balance
This causes the yeast to grow
the HRT does that too
so combination of those two and boom! thrush
you there ron?
Does this make sense?
yes thanks its a bit depressing however is there any way to prevent this in the future
try to wash well after intercourse
don't use any kind of lubricants if you can avoid it
and no antibiotics
ok thanks all makes sense im actually on the phone to Australia as we speak
would you mind rating me positive before leaving Ron?
