Dr. Shahzad MD :

Hi there. Thank you for your question. I will be helping you out with your queries

Dr. Shahzad MD :

There are two kinds HPV viruses:
types 6 and 11 account for about 90% of all cases of genital warts and these types do not cause cancer.

Customer: Thank you
Dr. Shahzad MD :

16, 18, 31, and 45 are the types that are the ones associated with cancer and are called as high risk viruses.

Customer: Ive never had a smear test but have had 6 children what are my chances of having cervical cancer
Dr. Shahzad MD :

You had warts which means that you had the benign (harmless) type of HPV virus infection.

Dr. Shahzad MD :

Chances are very less indeed.

Dr. Shahzad MD :

The chances of having the high risk virus is more related to multiple sexual partners.

Customer: This has eased my mind a lot since having my first smear ive had all sorts goin off in my head
Dr. Shahzad MD :

Relax!! you will be fine.

Dr. Shahzad MD :

Any more questions?

Dr. Shahzad MD :

Are you with me?

Customer: Im just so scared at the minute..ive been hearing loads about gentital warts and that i will always have the virus but ive never had them again?
Dr. Shahzad MD :

Thats not true.

Dr. Shahzad MD :

The good news is that the body’s natural immune system appears to get rid of the infection. However, this may take months to years.

Customer: So am i worrying for nothing...im really getting myself in a mess
Dr. Shahzad MD :

So your body may have cleared the virus by now.

Dr. Shahzad MD :

Yes I think that you are just thinking about it too much.

Dr. Shahzad MD :

There is nothing to worry about really.

Customer: Thank you this has eased my mind alot
Dr. Shahzad MD :

You are most welcome
Take care
