Resolved Question:

I have had a patch of skin on my leg that is red and itchy. It changes in size - from a 5p to a 50p. It is currently at the biggest and itchiest it has ever been. I have had it for a couple of months

Hello
It sounds like eczema.
But it can also be fungal infection.

The treatment is different depending on the diagnosis, which requires exam.

Chlortrimazole is excellent as a wide spectrum anti fungal.

Cortisone creams are used for eczema.

there are other possibilities, so seeing a doctor and having this identified is the best course.

I can look at a picture if you have one.

how long has that been going on?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

It appeared about 3 months ago but gets better and worse. I have just finished a course of antibiotics for toothache (amoxcillin and metronidazole) which has brought me out in a rash and it has got bigger and darker since I started taking them

OK
This looks like fungal infection
I would ask your doctor for the correct antifungal treatment.
