A metal pellet came up in one of my x rays a few years ago.

Resolved Question:

A metal pellet came up in one of my x rays a few years ago. It was near my nose, by my cheek. The doctor thought I might have played with an air gun when I was little but I hadn't. Then he said it was normal and it might be related to dental work. Next time I had an x ray it had disappeared. I am worried about it, it seems like it may have travelled in my body and it sounds dangerous, but the doctor said it was fine. Can you give me more information because I can't stop worrying!

I am actually male if this matters, it won't let me change the gender.

Dr. Shahzad MD :

Hi there. Thank you for your question. I will be helping you out with your queries

Dr. Shahzad MD :

Its nothing to worry about.

Dr. Shahzad MD :

One possibility is that it may have entered your gut and it may have passed in your stool.

Customer:

Is there any way it can enter the blood stream? That is what scares me the most.

Dr. Shahzad MD :

No

Dr. Shahzad MD :

No way of that happening.

Customer:

This is very reassuring, thank you
