Ask a Doctor and Get an Answer to Your Medical Question ASAP
Hi there. Thank you for your question. I will be helping you out with your queries
Give me a moment as I read your stem fully and carefully.
Did I get them from current partner? That is a possibility.
However you should remember that your partner may not have cheated with you and may have got it decades earlier.
HPV can stay in the body for a long period of time without causing any symptoms and can be transmitted from one person to the other during this period of time.
are you answering?
Another thing to keep in mind is that you may have had this in your body for many years and may just have had this outbreak.
Did you get my posts above?
yes so I could have this more than 5 years in body you are saying?
I have had warts on hand and verrucas before etc...and had I thought a spot on penis before maybe wart...but it went....so it maybe she has no infection?
Yes that is a possibility
so how is it treated please? will it re occur...?
There is no cure for the HPV but the wart can be treated.
Can we have unprotected sex again sometime? in the future as trying for baby? Whats the re occurrence possibility?
I think that firstly both of you should get tested.
If both of you are positive then its okay you can have unprotected sex without any issues.
If you are positive and she is negative then you can have unprotected sex at the risk of transmission.
What is the treatment for warts genital then.
how long does it take to go etc..on average..they are very small..and only 3
There are many treatment options.
such as imiquimod
I want to be sure I have right information to explain to partner.
so I am right saying I could have this long before I met her..if she not infected?
even at 40
she is 27
Trichloroacetic acid (TCA)Freezing with liquid nitrogen (cryotherapy).Electrocautery
Yes you could have had this long before.
You could have had this for years without knowing it
Are you with me?
Is re occurrence major with these please?
or can it be decade again before I see anything or never
Recurrence is possible yes
It may or may not happen
no way to tell?
So no one can say for sure
no way to tell
is their anything I can do to help not have this?
I am stressed...not active exercise after antibiotic I read immune system a lot to do with outbreaks.?
Yes you are right
Immune system does have a lot to do with this.
One last question to clear my mind....if we both go to clinic...is their anyway a GUM clinic can tell exactly how you got this and when? eg: time frame..as in she is negative I am positive...and they say well a year ago...then you understand? then she believes I cheated etc...
or is it something just happens and no test can prove how long or when I got HPV?
is their anyway a GUM clinic can tell exactly how you got this and when? Yes
there is no way to know how you got this
which is it explain please?
and when you got this
there is no way to know exactly when and how you got it
One thing that can be done is an IgG and IgM antibodies. If IgM is positive it means recent infection in the last few weeks.
If IgG is positive then you cannot tell when you got it or how you got it.
do they do this at gum clinics?
so I understand if she is IGM negative...and I am IGM positive it means I got it recently elsewhere?
she would think then I was with someone else?
If you have not slept out or cheated then you have nothing to worry about.
You will not have the IgM positive
I did oral uncovered and sex with condom? panicking now I am going to loose her.
I made a mistake..and am panicking now I will loose everythign
The best thing to do is to be honest with her if thats possible.
well they can only tell me isn't it I am iGm positive as we are going separate?
is that true? they cant tell her?
They will only tell you.
Its up to you to share the reports.
SO if I am and say its IgG then no way of telling it just happened? or when she gets results will they tell her how??? from me?
Well its up to you two to share the results with each other.
but what I am asking is their anyway she will know how?
if I don't share?
thank you peace of mind for now.
Your should ask the treating doctor or the lab to keep results confidential.
Just to make sure.
But I am sure they will.
