I recently went on insulin inj for diabetis. For some time I have the most unbearable pain in my legs so bad I can hardly walk.painkillers do not help.what can it be?

This is probably from diabetic neuropathy.

Ask your doctor, and make sure you are examined.
An EMG/nerve conduction study could confirm this.

Good control of the diabetes is essential.
