I dont have any other medical problems except a problem of the right knee.
Two operations on rt. knee but nowadays arthritis has taken its toll but
It was not bad enough to have a new knee.
My right ankle is swollen, but I contracted cellulitis in Norwich Hosp. It slightly pink in colour.
About a year ago after returning from hospital both anklese seemed to return to normal.
Two years ago I was walking perfectly in Florida where I was married.
Are you still there, Sir ?
Has my expert gone to sleep or am I doing something wrong ?

I am here, sorry was away for a while.
I will opt out to allow other experts to help you out with your question.
Sorry was away for a while
Had to attend an emergency.
Are your ankles painful and tender to touch as well?
Ok That's how it is today....For sure an emergency comes before my soft
query . I'm sure someone will answer my questions in due course !
Can you please let me know if your ankles are painful and tender to touch?
Sir ! My ankles could not be described as tender to touch but I have
difficulty in putting on my right shoe .
I have just moved home from the Broads to Dereham. It could be that
I have slightly overdone my walking this hot weather.
Usually my ankles go down after a night's sleep but for the last few
I agree, overdoing walking can lead to swelling of the ankles. But, having said that, if you have not had any blood tests done recently I would like that you should have your complete blood count, liver function test, kidney function test and your heart evaluated to make sure those are normal. Swelling in the ankles (called as peripheral edema) can be due to liver disease, kidney disease, heart disease to name a few important causes which should be ruled out. So if you have not been recently evaluated for these problems you should be evaluated. Meanwhile I would recommend that you should keep your feet elevated when you lie down so that the swelling goes down.
days I see them to be still swolllen.in the morning.
Thank you doctor. I did, in fact have a blood test at my last Surgery.
Thats good to know.
I left before having time to see my doctor. He suggested putting me on
a blood thinning course and I told him that I would check with my new
doctor in Dereham.....I'll go this next week. My darling Dutch wife was
on Wolferen and died fairly quickly after a heavy fall in our kitchen
Really sorry to know about your wife.
after hitting her head which quickly filled with blood.
I will write down your suggestions and hope the result of my blood
test at my last surgery will help.......But sorry ! I will not take
I truly understand why you do not want to be on warfarin.
If you have no other suggestion I will thank you and leave.
No other suggestions other than keep your feet elevated at all times when you sit or lie down which will help reduce your swelling and you should have the tests that I mentioned above i.e. blood tests for kidney, liver, complete blood count, albumin, total protein and tests to rule out any problem with your heart if you have not had those done recently.
It has been difficult because I am between two surgeries.
