I have suddenly developed double vision - it is not continual

Resolved Question:

I have suddenly developed double vision - it is not continual but has lasted for several hours - my eyes feel unusual when the double vision is not present - watery and I have to concentrate to get the right vision.

What could be causing this? What should I do?

I went to casualty have been told muscle in eye and brain are not in sinc. Have been given clear glasses with a prism on one eye. The symptoms have ceased and not wearing the glasses. High blood pressure on the day which is unusual for me but all has returned to normal. Awaiting results of blood tests. Do you have any further comments - suggestions?
