Dr. Natasha :

I am here

Dr. Natasha :

sorry , I had to use BR

Dr. Natasha :

hold on

Dr. Natasha :

Did you have a CT scan

JACUSTOMER-wq0jseal- :

No. I've only had scan today (the sort you have when pregnant) and the consultant gave me the above information, asked if I had any stomach pain, which I haven't, but said I'd be referred for CT scan

Dr. Natasha :

Some types are benign, with virtually no likelihood of becoming cancerous, while others are more likely to become malignant. Some forms have up to a 70% chance of becoming cancerous. For this reason, it is essential that all cysts be carefully evaluated.

JACUSTOMER-wq0jseal- :

ok but what percentage chance is there of mine being cancerous on the information I've given you, and what is the usual wait for CT scan

Dr. Natasha :

It is hard to say without the CT scan

Dr. Natasha :

but you should get the scan

JACUSTOMER-wq0jseal- :

will the hospital refer me for the scan or will it be for the gp

Dr. Natasha :

GO

Dr. Natasha :

GP

JACUSTOMER-wq0jseal- :

ok Is there any other information you can give me - such as symptons to look out for

Dr. Natasha :

weight loss

Dr. Natasha :

night sweats

JACUSTOMER-wq0jseal- :

I've neither of these. Recently went on a detox diet and took detox tablets - would this affect anything

Dr. Natasha :

no

JACUSTOMER-wq0jseal- :

ok I've stopped taking them anyway. Roughly how long for appointment for CT scan and Any other advice

Dr. Natasha :

Hold on

Dr. Natasha :

look for yellowing

Dr. Natasha :

but a lot of these are benign

Dr. Natasha :

yellowing of the skin and the eyes

JACUSTOMER-wq0jseal- :

ok any idea how long for CT scan

Dr. Natasha :

it takes a month or so

JACUSTOMER-wq0jseal- :

Wow, that's a nice long time to worry!

Dr. Natasha :

you can ask your GP to speed it up

JACUSTOMER-wq0jseal- :

ok I'll go and see her. Any other advice

Dr. Natasha :

that is pretty much it

Dr. Natasha :

you need a CT scan

Dr. Natasha :

Or MRI

JACUSTOMER-wq0jseal- :

Ok we'll leave it there

Dr. Natasha :

Keep me posted

Dr. Natasha :

did I provide you with excellent service?

JACUSTOMER-wq0jseal- :

ok

Dr. Natasha :

did I provide you with excellent service?

JACUSTOMER-wq0jseal- :

An ok service as I've not learned much, but will go and have a chat with my gp

Dr. Natasha :

Well, it is hard to say the malignancy potential without more information

Dr. Natasha :

And often pancreatic cancer can sneak up on you without symtpoms

Dr. Natasha :

symtpoms which are concerning for cancer are jaundice, weight loss and night sweats
