Customer Question

I'm doing a student tandem parachutute on 30 July 2014 and I need a doctor certificate to say I'm fitness to do it as I'm over 40 years old but my gp in redditch says there don't do it any ideas where I can obtain a doctors certificate before doing my charity jump?

Hello
A doctor has to see you for you to get a certificate.

Unless your GP will refer you, to say, a sports medicine specialist, then you would have to get assigned to another GP.

Why does your GP say this?

What is the reasoning?

OK
Are you sure the parachute people actually require specific lab tests?
That would be unlikely.
I think they only want to know that your heart and lungs are OK and that you are in good enough shape.

Here is an idea: call them and ask exactly what they want.
Put this in writing to your GP and if the GP can't do it ask for a referral.
