my twin son was born with a small bald patch on the crown of his head, a couple of millimeters in circumference. it hasnt got worse, but he wants to know what it is and why its there. i want to know if he should keep it out of the sun. he's 13 now, and is self conscious

this is likely related to pressure on that spot in utero

with twins, it is often cramped

should he be careful in the sun, he plays tennis a lot and it isn't protected.

also, as he's now 13 and had this since birth,since can i assume it isn't a form of hair loss i.e won't get worse?
