What is TSH?
Expert:  Dr. SH replied 3 years ago.
TSH is Thyroid stimulating hormone and its used to assess the adequacy of the dose of levothyroxine that you are taking.
Its levels should be maintained between 0.3 to 3 and ideally the levels should be less than 1.
This test is done every two to three months in people with low functioning thyroid.
