About five weeks ago I had pain in my shoulder moving down my arm it subsided after a couple of weeks but now I keep getting pins and needles in arm and hand especially if my arm is raised for a short period

I think that you should have this evaluated further starting with an x ray of the neck and then MRI of the neck if required.
