Hi there. Thank you for your question. I will be helping you out with your queries
The result coming back with E. coli means that he was infected with the E. coli bacteria.
This is the most common bug that causes urine infections.
The test that detects this bug is called as a culture and sensitivity test.
It also tells us which antibiotic would kill the bug or treat the infection.
So if the test result has shown that the current antibiotic is going to treat the infection then he should continue on the antibiotic, otherwise the antibiotic will need to be changed according to the result of the blood test.
Are you following me?
No, I allready know what you have told me. I am asking about the blood results is 100 normal compared to the 204 at the beginning of the week?
You mentioned blood results but you did not mention what the blood test was?
Can you please name what blood test they had that showed this result?
Was it CRP?
or something else?
I assume it was to determine whether there was an infection .
Usually for an infection or inflammation we do a CRP or ESR test done.
I think this is CRP
If the level of this is reducing this would mean that infection is getting better.
But we would also have to evaluate the symptoms as well.
so is 100 normal?
100, CRP, if that's what the test was, is still high.
Thankyouvery much, l will have to wait untill monday when l can get more antibiotics
