Dr.Amita :

Polycythemia is not a contra indication to flying.

Dr.Amita :

But it does incraese the risk of deep vein thrombosis associated with flying.polycythemia is considered a moderate risk factor for DVT while flying and prophylaxis in form of Aspirin and compression stocking is advised.

Dr.Amita :

Compression stocking is not necessary but it would be preferable to wear one while flying

Dr.Amita :

Risk increases when one is flying long haul that is a flight longer than 4 hours
