Hi--can you tell me more about this and whether you've ever had it before? Any chest pain or fainting feeling?
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
Feel a bit faint earlier , just random big palpitations , started out while back once in blue moon last few days more and more , have just travelled from Melbourne to Ireland but was getting them before I left now very frequent today especially , could I be dehydrated or have anxiety issues
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 2 years ago.
OK Andy. First off, I don't think you're in danger of having a heart attack but this should be checked out right away with an exam, EKG and an echocardiogram to look for a mitral valve problem. These are either premature atrial or ventricular contractions and in general they aren't dangerous and they can be caused by electrolyte imbalances or potentially from dehydration. Just to be on the safe side, though, since we don't have an EKG in hand, you should see a doctor about this just as soon as you can.

I've had 1 a few years ago with similar issues and came up fine , but wasn't as intense as this time , I'm having difficulty sleeping also , combined with jet lag , my pulse seems fine will these palpitations continue or ease of with more rest and fluids ?
Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 2 years ago.
Anxiety can make these worsen and yes they may ease with rest and fluids Andy but since I can't examine you the better idea would be for you to see a doctor about this
