Dr. David :

This is Dr. David

Dr. David :

you could be suffering from chronic constipation or irritable bowel syndrome.

Dr. David :

you could also have inflammation of your bladder or over active bladder syndrome.

Dr. David :

you might have glutten bowel allergy causing bloating.

Dr. David :

you might need more bowel testing with a colonoscopy and also a cystoscopy to look inside of the bladder.

Dr. David :

once your bowels and bladder are less inflamed, this could let sex be less painful.

Dr. David :

you might need to use more lubrication as well during sex.

Customer: I've been to my doctor for over 2 years about these issues and he still says that I'll be fine and won't suggest any of the above. Is there anything I can do to try to narrow down the cause? The lubrication is not an issue it just burns n feels like it's hitting against something
Dr. David :

you have to ask your GP in the UK to be referred to a GI doctor for your bowels

Dr. David :

and a urology doctor for your bladder.

Dr. David :

a GI specialist can do a colonoscopy and do more testing to check for inflamed bowels or inflammatory bowel disease.

Customer: Okie dokie thank you
Dr. David :

and a urologist can look inside of your bladder to check for cystitis or interstitial cystitis.

Dr. David :

interstitial cystitis is very painful

Dr. David :

and can cause blood in the urine

Dr. David :

and is often mistaken for a bladder infection.

Dr. David :

but there is no bacteria in the urine.

Dr. David :

do you have trace or microscopic blood in your urine frequently?

Customer: Yes when it's been tested I believe that I did. I couldn't see it myself though
Dr. David :

ask your doctor to be referred to a urologist.

Dr. David :

and to be checked for interstitial cystitis.

Dr. David :

that could be causing your pain.

Dr. David :

best of luck to you

Dr. David :

let me know if you have other questions.

Customer: Okie dokie thanks you have been very helpful thank you
