Dr. David :

This is Dr. David

Dr. David :

Campral is acamprosate, also known as N-acetyl homotaurine andis a drug used for treating alcohol and benzodiazepine dependence

Dr. David :

this will most likely not help with your pancreatitis.

Dr. David :

you need to go to the hospital and get IV fluids and monitoring of your pancreas with blood test to check your amylase and lipase levels.

Dr. David :

also if you quit alcohol suddenly, you run the risks for DTs or delirium tremens or even seizures.

Dr. David :

so you need to be monitored in the hospital if you are going to quit alcohol.

Customer: Thank you doctor, I will go to hospital
Dr. David :

that is the best idea

Dr. David :

best of luck to you

Dr. David :

I wish you the best
