My mother who is 91 has developed a problem urinating, hadly passing any water, just a dribble with a mild sensation, but not really a burning sensation, just a slight discomfort. is this cystitus?

can the infection just pass naturally in a few days?

Unlikely --at her age the immune system is not that strong.
So this is a risk by leaving the infection untreated.
Treatment is recommended to avoid any possible kidney failure and other complications.
