I feel unsteady, no ringing in my years but they feel throbbing when on pillow. Hearing seems fine although at times I need to ask twice to be sure i understand correctly.
Do you have neck pain?
How long the dizzy spell lasts?
dizzy spell.. few minutes but I am losing balance when walking
i need another person to support me. it is worse when outside rather than indoors, lately
Any test like MRI advised?
no. I have not been sent to a specialist yet.
doctors still want me to wait 2 more weeks
Roxana thanks a lot for your input. I am sorry to hear about your problem. I am going to address your primary concern but later you can ask anything you want.
Dealing with dizziness is my specialty.
Dizziness is your main symptom and everything else is associated.
Dizziness can come from three systems of body; Ears, Heart and brain.
Ear disorders causes spinning sensation
Since you feel unsteady, ears are not the likely cause of your symptoms.
and BPPV with your symptoms is out of question.
That is my concern at the moment, that i am not treated for the right issue
Your doctor has so far treated you for ear related illness but it doesn't seems to be ear related and that is the reason that you have got no benefit .
what would you advice?
Your symptoms are not something which can be ignored
You don't need to wait for 2 weeks.
Either call your GP to get your MRI at the earliest.
Or ask him to send you to a neurologist.
MRI report will further tell the cause.
If that is clear then neurologist will decide further.
Your neck x rays are required as well.
I have tried today to say that I want to see a specialist but been told that they want to do the epley manoeuvre and wait
I don't seem to make an impact on their decisions
In BPPV, a sudden bout of spinning sensation comes for few seconds and there is no associated symptom with that.
You don't have anything like that.
So this is no BPPV
But this time you can ask for it again.
Soreness of head is never a symptom of BPPV>
It is really helpful talking with you.
You are most welcome.
Anything else you want to ask?
Just to clarify : I need to ask to see a neorologist or a MRI scan?
MRI first and then neuro.
ok thank you!
