Hi Dr Phil mark here again Tension headache came on today

Customer Question

Hi Dr Phil mark here again
Tension headache came on today neck muscles sore. The mild pain went to either side of my nose ? Now I'm panicking it's something serious in sinuses !!
Trying to logically stay calm. Bloods would have shown serious prob there ??

Hello. I'm Dr. Phil, licensed and practicing internist. Excellent service is my goal.
Could be allergies?
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
No sinus drip no sneezing no blocked nose. ? Can the muscles there be tense as well. ? Do you think it's not serious ?
Gone now doesn't stay there constantly just sometimes
Expert:  Dr. Phil, MD replied 2 years ago.
It doesn't sound serious at all
yes the muscles in the face can cause this
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
Would a cancer etc cause blockage and pain there all the time ?
No lumps no blood no pain when I get tired or relaxed. Can stress really cause this type of psin ?
Expert:  Dr. Phil, MD replied 2 years ago.
yes it would
and yes stress can
if it were cancer, it wouldn't come and go so fast.
cancer doesn't work like that
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
So the fact that it's facial nose pain that isn't constant with perfect blood count esr2 ck70 and c restive protein .04 adds reassurance ? And gets better ie comes and goes couple with sore neck muscles. Is a sure bet it's non serious ?
Expert:  Dr. Phil, MD replied 2 years ago.
yes that is correct.
of all this is reassuring.
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
I was nearly there today Dr Phil nearly told my self to get on and forget it ! Then I googled !!!
So cancer would be there all the time and pain would get worse I'm guessing plus other symptoms ?
And the markers in the blood would jump ?
Expert:  Dr. Phil, MD replied 2 years ago.
oh don't google Mark!
You know better!
yes, the symptoms would be different and the blood would be off

In my mind I m rushing for a scan !!!!! She says I need to get on top of this now
Expert:  Dr. Phil, MD replied 2 years ago.
deep breaths mark
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
Hi Dr Phil hope you ok
Mark here again I'm getting there went to see an anxiety councelor who hypnotised me. !!
But I seem to be responding well I still have tension headache during the day but when I relax as now it's virtually gone !
Last hurdle is to convince myself it's not serious ! Most of the time I am convinced but still have the lingering doubt
It would not ease off in the evening after a run and a bath and allow me to sleep well. Would it ? And then return as I start my day each late morning ?
Expert:  Dr. Phil, MD replied 2 years ago.
It could
you might have sleep apnea
that explains morning headaches
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
Is that serious ? Or can I relax about it it still seems tense from neck etc ?
Expert:  Dr. Phil, MD replied 2 years ago.
if its apnea it needs treated but its not urgent
you can relax though
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
Would sleep apnea cause a headache ? Isn't that breathing etc and would that be like a band and stiff neck muscles etc ?
Expert:  Dr. Phil, MD replied 2 years ago.
It can cause a headache. Absolutely
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
Just checked with my wife I don't snore sleep quietly no dry mouth or choking ever no reflux or anything like that at all. When I wake up its not there then it gradually comes on from the neck area during my working day. ? Tension as you said before ? Also the scalp muscles are lightly sore
Expert:  Dr. Phil, MD replied 2 years ago.
Yes probably tension then Mark
