Customer Question

I have felt a strange feeling in my cheek area. With a slight tingling numbness feeling but not visible or any swelling. Just my left feels tender and I feel my face is tingling slightly but its not obvious. Eye is also feeling twitching. This is left side of my face. I have also had occasional cold sensations in my brain. Like you have when you have an ice cream.

OK Give me the entire location of this feeling
Customer: replied 2 years ago.

Under eye. Cheek area radiating to left ear. Ears feel blocked too. cheek feels tender. I feel a slight numbness but its not a real numbness from top of the left ear to that cheek area.

OK--And when did all this start?
Customer: replied 2 years ago.

On and off since my health anxiety started. From last week I have felt this weird feeling on this left side of my cheek. Could it be my sinuses? I feel it mostly above my cheek near nose below eye and I feel that left ear feeling number. Its like a line.

Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 2 years ago.
OK Part of this could be your sinuses but the distribution sounds like something called trigeminal neuralgia--an inflammation of the cranial nerve that runs along that area. Nothing too serious--not MS or a brain tumor or anything like that. It usually runs its course in a few days but a medication like Tegretol can help that along. You should have your doctor look at this

I keep thinking I have every nasty disease under the block. When one symptom of something goes another comes up. So I think of another disease. I feel like I am going mad.

Expert:  Dr. Chip replied 2 years ago.
No, that's just anxiety and a health anxiety issue. Nothing of what you've told me sound like anything very serious but talk to your doctor about your fears
