This is Dr. David
I am sorry you are not feeling well.
it sounds like you could have a bad viral infection or the flu or viral gastroenteritis and laryngitis symptoms
cold virsu can cause all of these symptoms.
are you using Paracetamol to help with aches and pains?
are you drinking plenty of fluids?
you might need to see your GP doctor and get stronger medications.
ok so what should i do, just stay in bed. I probably don't drink enough water on the whole, will make an effort. I find it takes a week or so to see my GP.
stay in bed, drink more fluids
take extra vitamin C
make an appointment to see your GP doctor
take your temperature twice a day
i just felt awful earlier and didn't have anything else to take.
if you have fever, use paracetamol.
you can use advil as well 400mg 2-3 times a day with food in your stomach and see if that helps
advil is ibuprofen.
even if it's for a week later on. the only other thing is they offer a clinic at homerton hospital - walk in but i don't want to waste anyones time. ok will get those other bits.
you are not wasting anyones time.
they are there for your health benefit
if you are not feeling well, you should go there
to the walk in clinic
if you get better, then that would be good.
do try to drink more fluids
chicken soup is good
and extra vitamin C
I hope you feel better.
ok then, thanks very much

Do not do home treatment.
An infection that gets better then recurs in a different form indicates secondary infection in many cases.
This might, for example, be transverse myelitis, and infection of the spine. If at the top of the spine. If at the bottom, pylonephritis. Both can be very serious. Go to the ER today.
What you describe is not a "take vitamin C and have soup" home situation.
OK, so that is an initial answer….
