For the treatment of gastritis, you should take acid suppressive medication like Omeprazole 20 mg twice daily before meals.

Dr Basu :

Best wishes,

Customer: I have no symptoms and have had a biopsy which came back negative for the bacteria. I don't get acid. I have a small 3mm spot (I think they called it). I am now on a one month treatment. My doctor's only advise was no acid, no vintage rand no spices. I live in Spain that's why I just want bit more clarity. So I don't need a list of foods to alleviate my symptoms because I don't get any. What I want is that foods that will stop the healing. Does that makes sense?
Dr Basu :

Yes it does make sense.

Dr Basu :

Even if you do not get any symptoms, the stomach acid production needs to be suppressed to help with healing.

Dr Basu :

That is only possible with above diet suggestions.

Dr Basu :

The goal is to reduce stomach acid during the healing period.

Dr Basu :

YOu will need to pay attention to the above diet.

Dr Basu :

Does it make sense?

Customer: Yes it does thanks.....Okand after a month can I return to coffee and curry? My two vices?
Dr Basu :

gradually in small amounts

Dr Basu :

Best wishes,

Dr Basu :

It was my pleasure to help you today.
