Dr. David :

This is Dr. David

Dr. David :

sounds like most likely it is from excessive stomach acid production

Dr. David :

if you drink alcohol or have a bad diet or fatty diet this can cause worse stomach acid production.

Dr. David :

and this can cause tightness in your stomach and more burping.

JACUSTOMER-6s93ylrt- : I'm scared I have gastritis again
Dr. David :

you need to avoid alcohol and eat a blander diet and void spicy foods and start to take acid blocking medications to decrease stomach acid.

Dr. David :

I think you do have gastritis again

Dr. David :

gastritis is inflammation of the stomach from excessive stomach acid.

JACUSTOMER-6s93ylrt- : I'm just scared it I have something more serous
Dr. David :

don't let your anxiety paralyze you.

Dr. David :

it sounds like you have bad anxiety symptoms as well

Dr. David :

severe anxiety symptoms can also cause your stomach to produce more stomach acid.

JACUSTOMER-6s93ylrt- : I suffer from health anxiety
Dr. David :

are you able to avoid alcohol and eat a blander diet and take stomach acid medications

Dr. David :

like malox or mylanta or zantac or pepcid or prilosec ?

JACUSTOMER-6s93ylrt- : Can I take omeprazole
Dr. David :

yes,

Dr. David :

you should take omeprazole 30-60 minutes before meals every day

Dr. David :

and eat a bland diet.

Dr. David :

no spicy food and no fried or oily foods

Dr. David :

avoid tomato sauces

Dr. David :

and no alcohol or sodas.

JACUSTOMER-6s93ylrt- : Ok be
Dr. David :

and your stomach should get better.

JACUSTOMER-6s93ylrt- : ok but I will be fine you don't think it's anything more seuious
Dr. David :

no, I don't think it is anything more serious

Dr. David :

but you should see your GP doctor if your symptoms don't get better

Dr. David :

and you should be getting some treatment for your health anxiety symptoms.

Dr. David :

you should be seeing a therapist regularly

Dr. David :

and you might need medication to help decrease anxiety for you.
