This is called peripheral neuropathy. It is basically nerve damage.
There are many causes, some of the more common, are diabetes, poor circulation, and alcoholism.
While peripheral neuropathy may not be entirely reversed, it may be improved by treating the medical condition that is causing it.
Medications such as gabapentin can be helpful if there is pain or discomfort
