Hi, Thanks for your question. I'm Dr. Hasan and I'll try to help you.
Do you feel spinning while being dizzy or feel just unsteady?
Felt like i was going down a whirlpool
Does this spell last for seconds, minutes or hours?
Any relation to neck movement?
Thanks a lot for your input. Dealing with dizziness is my specialty. I am sorry to hear about your problem. I am going to address your primary concern but later you can ask anything you want.
Your symptoms are consistent with a condition called benign paroxysmal positional vertigo.
It is related to imbalance of crystals in the inner ear.
There is no actual disease behind this.
You should visit an ENT specialist and he can fix it in office with the help of a maneuver called Eplys Maneuver.
There is nothing to worry and you are going to be fine.
Any question please?
Would that cause loss of hearing?
No it can't.
It can neither cause hearing loss nor ear ringing.
I find i have to have the TV volume higher then my wife.
Do you have ear ringing as well?
Well that hearing loss can be age related but has nothing to do with your dizzy spells.
While visiting ENT you should get hearing test as well but there is no relation between hearing loss and dizziness in your case.
