Ask a Doctor and Get an Answer to Your Medical Question ASAP
This is Dr. David
I am sorry you are having these cold sensations
you should get your thyroid hormone levels checked.
you could be having hypothyroidism possibly. or low thyroid hormone.
how severe are your symptoms on a scale from 0-10?
I can live with them but I am more concerned about the possibility that they indicate something that will become more severe. ... say, 4 out of 10
are you on treatment for your depression and anxiety?
if your anxiety symptoms are out of control, they can often magnify other mild symptoms you are having
have you had your thyroid hormone levels checked for hypothyroidism?
I am working with a counsellor but no medicines.
have you had your thyroid hormone levels checked?
I have had the standard GP blood test and it was OK. However, over the last few years I have had difficulty with the changes in temperature. Over hot in bed etc. ... and I have wondered whether I have a minor thyroid problem.
it could be a minor thyroid problem
that should be checked
or it could be due to declines of your testosterone levels as you get older.
Not convinced that the NHS would be keen to help with ei
..... either issue.
your GP doctor will check your thyroid hormone levels
it is a very simple blood test to check your TSH or thyroid stimulating hormone level.
a blood testosterone level is also a very simple blood test.
OK. So those are the two most likely areas for review? Can I rule out and blood flow or nerve issues?
yes, your doctor has already done work to rule out blood flow and nerve issues
by check blood flow and by checking for diabetes and nerve damage.
good luck to you
